CREOLA REESE, B.A., M.A, MHP, PLPC is the Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Possessing Your Power Outreach and Curriculum Developer. Possessing Your Power (PYP) was birth out of her life adversities and is a forum and ministry to help educate, equip and empower young people and adults through knowledge and plain truth. Her endless passion is motivated and continually fueled by just the mere thought of God’s love, grace and mercy.
Creola has an extensive background in character education, teen pregnancy prevention, abstinence education and positive youth development (PYD). Author/Developer of the “PYP” character education curriculum and “What’s Luck Got To Do With It,” a personal testimony enduring a 10-year compulsive gambling addiction while living in Las Vegas, Nevada. She continues to travel throughout the county conducting curriculum training certifications, workshops, seminars and speaking engagements.
Creola is a national abstinence until-marriage educator & motivational speaker and life coach. She received training & certification from Youth Net, Youth Development for Youth Risk Behavior Prevention & Counseling in 2001, S.A. G. E. Advice Instruction by McLennan County Collaborative Abstinence Project (McCap) in Waco, Texas; and participated in the initial MCHB-SPRANS Community-Based Abstinence Project held in Baltimore, Maryland in 2001. She conducted focus groups for The Institute for Youth Development (IYD) in Virginia.
Creola has chaired and reviewed numerous grant programs under the U.S. Department of Health and Human Service Administration, Division of Independent Review (DIR), such as Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Office of Family Assistance (OFA), Office of Public Health Services (OPHS), Office of Minority Health (OMH), Office of Adolescent Health (OAH), Maternal Child Health Bureau (MCHB), Bureau of Primary Health Care (BPHC) and Rural Health Outreach (RHOG).
